Former Judge Ambrose Madden of Binghamton, NY; ethical gremlin

The New York Commission on Judicial conduct found Ambrose guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as a Justice of the Justice of the Floyd Town Court, Oriskany Village, New York.

  • Engaged in improper demeanor toward and treatment of his court clerks caused three or four of them to resign
  • Presided over matters involving residents of a local youth home and warned them of the consequences
  • of misbehavior at the home, including the possibility of jail time, in the absence of counsel for the youth

As one would suspect, Ambrose did what any cowardly Judicial Misfit would do under the circumstances, he voluntarily resigned and agreed to never seek judicial office in the future.

As we speak (ca. March 2024), it is rumored that Ambrose has an application pending for a job as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter Store at 2 Gannett Drive in Binghamton, New York.
