Attorney Michael Kelly of Des Moines, WA; ethical misfit

The State of Washington presented Michael John Kelly with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from Puget Sound University School of Law.

The Washington State Bar found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct. 

• Improperly practiced law in cooperation with a suspended attorney
• Permitted suspended attorney to use Mikey’s name for the practice of law
• Mikey absolutely knew that the attorney’s license to practice law was suspended but continued to practice law with him as co-counsel

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. 

As we speak (ca. February 2024), Mikey practices his so-called brand of law with Gehrke, Baker, Doull & Kelly at 22030 7th Avenue South in Des Moines, Washington.
