• deductions from the proceeds of a judgment
• Failed to promptly distribute proceeds of judgment to his client
• Did not make a second distribution of judgment proceeds to his client until four years later
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflected on fitness to practice law

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

Billy’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in gross neglect of client matter
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Made false statements of material fact
• Failed to release client file upon termination of representation
• Failed to utilize retainer agreement
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Billy!)
• Was untruthful in statements to others
• Failed to communicate with client
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Failed to comply with discovery requests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

Billy’s 3^rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to provide client with a written retainer setting forth the basis or rate of his fee

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
