Judge Casey Woolsey of St. Augustine, FL; ethical troll

The state of Florida presented Casey L. Woolsey with a law license in 2011 after she graduated from Florida Coastal University School of Law.

TheFlorida Judicial Qualifications Commission found Casey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Improperly injected partisanship into her election campaign
  • Made a misleading statement about fundraising
  • Engaged in inappropriate conduct in violating judicial canons
  • Improperly described herself as a “conservative” in recorded phone messages to voters, violating a prohibition on partisanship in judicial races
  • Made representations about her candidacy that she knew or should have known were improper and misleading
  • Engaged in impropriety or the appearance of impropriety
  • Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Casey by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2024), Casey continues to dispense her so-called version of jurisprudence as a St. John’s County Circuit Court judge in St. Augustine, Florida.
