Former Judge William Carey of Ketchikan, AK; incompetent boob

The state of Alaska provided William B. Carey with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of Denver School of Law.

In one matter, Billy was assigned to preside over the case of Bunton v. Alaska Airlines regarding attorney disqualification and a decedent’s death. Ketchikan Superior Court

In his infinite ignorance, Billy improperly entered a judgment of attorney’s fees against the estate of the decedent and then he disposed of the litigation by granting summary judgment that was clearly inconsistent with the applicable court rules.

As a direct consequence of Billy’s incompetence, his asinine rulings were overturned by Alaska Court of Appeal and remanded back to him.

And lastly, it goes without saying that Billy didn’t much care when he’s overturned (rebuked in truth) by the appellate court since he fully understands no Alaskan judge had ever been tossed off the bench for being an incompetent boob.

As we speak (ca. January 2024), Billy practices his so-called brand of law as an attorney with Alaska Superior Court in Ketchikan, Alaska.
