Attorney Douglas Prestrud of Seattle, WA; ignorant slacker

The State of Washington presented Douglas Holmes Prestrud with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from Seattle University School of Law.

The Washington State Bar found Doug guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.  

• Failed to provide competent representation (ignoramus)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Failed to maintain required trust account records
• Failed to deposit fees paid in advance into a trust account
• Failed to file a motion for reconsideration timely on client’s behalf
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Doug!)
• Failed to maintain a copy of a fee agreement

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Doug by gifting him with a complimentary 12-month suspension of his law license.   

As we speak (ca. December 2023), Doug practices his so-called brand of law at 13045 Meridian Avenue North in Seattle, Washington.
