Solicitor Gerard Tierney of Scotland; ethical dwarf

The Law Society presented Gerard Tierney with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Glasgow School of Law.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Gerry guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in professional misconduct
  • Failed to settle two invoices issued by Nationwide Expert Witness Service or to respond to reminders
  • Failed failure to satisfy the terms of a sheriff court decree, granted against and intimated to him, for said sums
  • Gerry’s conduct clearly breached that trust and damaged the reputation of the profession
  • Creditors had had to obtain a court decree before Gerry eventually paid the principal sum due

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Gerry by gifting him with a complimentary censure and imposed a fine of £3,000.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Gerry practices his so-called brand of law at 13 Park Avenue in Prestwick, Edinburgh, Scotland.
