Attorney Joshua Gayl of Philadelphia, PA; scamming fraudster

The state of Pennsylvania presented Joshua Lawrence Gayl with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from Fordham University School of Law.

The Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board found Joshua guilty of the following misconduct.

• Ple guilty conspiracy to obstruct justice involving his prior employer with VO a purported to be consulting firm that helped timeshare owners eliminate fraudulently induced contracts
• At the time of being hired by VO, Josh learned that its owners, executives, and employees had been indicted in federal court
• Josh made a call to a VO customer who was a potentially favorable witness in the hope of obtaining positive statements for the defense
• Provided refunds to VO customers in exchange for civile releases w/o telling them the refunds were offered to improve the defense’s position and to make the customers to testify favorably if called as witnesses at trial
• Josh admitted that he broke the law when he contacted potential witnesses to improve VO’s defenses
• Josh falsely certified to the Court in response to a subpoena that he had not consulted with the VO defendants regarding the subpoena or efforts to gather and produce responsive documents

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Lon by ordering him to be disbarred. However, the same comedians voted to reinstate Josh’s law license four years later.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Josh and his firm fail to mention the above misconduct on their self-serving website at www.myphillylawyer.com. Apparently, they chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting their future victim pool.
