Attorney Marcy Argeris of Worland, WY; ignoramus, repeater

The state of Wyoming provided Marcy J. Argeris with a law license in 1994 after she graduated from the University of Wyoming School of Law.

The Board of Professional Responsibility found Marcy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Marcy’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Improperly sought public funds to pay administrative fee to the State Bar of $500 relating to a private reprimand she had previously received
• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Engaged in prohibited transactions

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wyoming Carolina Supreme punished Marcy by gifting her with a complimentary censure and assessed investigative costs of $550.00.

Marcy’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to provide competent representation (ignoramus)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with her client
• Charged and/or attempted to collect an unreasonable fee
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to so act
• Failed to expedite client litigation
• Failed to act fairly in dealings with opposing counsel/party
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Marcy!)
• Failed in professional obligations to two insurance company clients
• Failed to remit settlement funds to the insurance company
• Failed to respond to numerous demands for payment
• Mishandled the insurance company’s representation in ten different matters
• Insurance company sued Marcy and obtained a substantial default judgment against her

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wyoming Carolina Supreme punished Marcy by gifting her with a complimentary 5-year suspension of her law license and assessed investigative costs of $550.00.

As we speak (ca. December 2023), Marcy practices her so-called brand of law with the Argeris Law Office LLC in Worland, Wyoming.
