Former Judge Janice Wiseman of Fayetteville, WV; ethical troll

The West Virginia Judicial Investigation Commission found Janice guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as a Fayette County Magistrate Court Judge.

• Janice’s former boss asked her to assist in getting granddaughter’s traffic tickets dismissed
• Janice agreed to contact police officer who issued the tickets and determine whether he would consent to dismissing the tickets
• When contacted, the police officer declined to dismiss the tickets
• Later that day, the granddaughter filed a motion to dismiss the tickets in Janice’s court
• Janice granted the motion to dismiss the tickets and she was able to dupe the assistant prosecutor in signing off on the dismissal

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the West Judicial Investigation Commission punished Alton by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), it is rumored that Janice has an application pending for a job as a restroom attendant at the Walmart Supercenter Store at 204 Town Center Road in Fayetteville, West Virginia.
