Attorney Joseph Fitzpatrick Jr. of Montgomery, AL; ethical misfit

The state of Alabama presented Joseph Lee Fitzpatrick, Jr. with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the Birmingham School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Joey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Failed to communicate with his client
  • Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to so act
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary 91-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Joey practices his so-called brand of law with Fitzpatrick & Associates LLC in Montgomery, Alabama.
