Former Judge Mary Rosner of Las Cruces, NM; ethical elf

The state of New Mexico presented Mary W. Rosner with a law license in 1987 after she graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law.

The New Mexico Judicial Standards Commission found Mary guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to recuse herself from a matter when recusal was mandatory
  • Knew or should have known that she could no longer be fair and impartial following the Las Cruces Sun-News article which she believed was written by Father’s counsel
  • Exhibited personal bias against party appearing before her
  • Allowed herself to be swayed by public opinion or fear of criticism involving a pending matter
  • Engaged in conduct that appeared to impact the outcome of a proceeding

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the New Mexico Supreme Court punished Mary by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. December 2023), Mary practices her so-called brand of law at 619 North Alameda Blvd in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
