Judge Jill Epstein of New York City; potty mouth loser

The State of New York provided Jill R. Epstein with a law license in 1983 after she graduated from Yeshiva University School of Law.

The State Commissionon Judicial Conduct found Jill guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while she was a Justice of the Moravia Town and Village Courts, Cayuga County.

  • Jill asserted her judicial status to a school safety officer while attempting to arrange for a double-parked car to be moved
  • When the owner of the car that was double- parked came out of the school to move it, Jill became angry, cursed at her, and again referred to her judicial status
  • The double-parked car was owned by a teacher who had been inside the school
  • When the teacher came outside to move the car, Jill became angry and called her a “stupid bitch”
  • Acted in manner inconsistent with her obligations to maintain high standards of conduct
  • Failed to act at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary
  • Lent the prestige of her judicial office to advance her private interest
  • Engaged in extra-judicial activity that detracted from the dignity of her judicial office
  • Violated rules of conduct when she unnecessarily provided her business card to the school safety officer, told the safety officer that she needed to get to work at the courthouse, cursed at the teacher and told the teacher that she had a courthouse to run
  • Improperly asserted her judicial status when speaking with the school safety officer
  • Created the appearance that she expected special treatment and deference due to her judicial position
  • Jill’s conduct undermined public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Conduct Commission punished Jill by gifting her with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. October 2023), Jill continues to dispense her so-called brand of law as a New York City Civil Court judge in New York, New York.
