Attorney Mark Damm of Alberta, CAN; ethical leprechaun

The Law Society of Alberta presented Mark Garnett Damm with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Saskatchewan School of Law.

The Alberta Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Mark guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to comply with reporting requirements for operating trust account
• Failed comply with rules regarding paying personal bills directly from his trust account
• Improperly made withdrawals from his trust account using an ATM
• Failed to submit his annual law Firm Self-Report and Electronic date Upload by the due date
• Engaged in the illegal practice of law while license suspended
• Failed to be honest and candid with his clients
• Failed to properly conduct and maintain month bank reconciliations

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 6-week suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of $12,000.00.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Mark practices his so-called brand of law with Caron & Partners LLP at 700 2^nd Street SW in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
