Attorney Mark Ditter of KauKauna, WI; repeat offender

 

The state of Wisconsin presented Douglas R. Stern  with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Marquette University School of Law.

 

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Mark guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

 

Mark’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to act with due diligence
  • Failed to communicate with a client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Mark’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended
  • Failed to comply with mandatory CLE (Continuing Legal Education) requirements

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license. 

 

Mark’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • The State Public Defenders Office (SPD) appointed Mark to represent two criminal defendants in cases in Outagamie County Circuit Court
  • In both cases, Mark hired an investigator to prepare presentence reports resulting in fees of $2,400 payable to the investigator
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Mark!)
  • Mark failed to to deliver the $2,400 to the investigator, even after repeated requests for payment by both the investigator and the SPD,
  • Mark converted the $2,400 to hiw own purposes
  • Failed to hold the $2,400 into a designated trust account
  • Lied to ethics investigators that he had sent a partial payment to the investigators (Up yours, said Mark!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license. 

 

As we speak (ca. September 2023), Mark practices his so-called brand of law with the Ditter Law Offices at 1901 Parkwood Drive in KauKauna, Wisconsin.
