Attorney Doreen Cantrell of Willoughby, OH; convicted thief

The state of Ohio presented Doreen Marie Cantrell with a law license in 1988 after she graduated from the University of Akron School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel for the Ohio Supreme Court found Doreen guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Pled guilty to two counts of felony grand theft
  • Pled guilty to one count of possession of cocaine
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  • Exhibited a dishonest and selfish motive
  • Engaged in multiple criminal offenses

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Doreen by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2023), Doreen practices her so-called brand of law at 701 Cherokee Trail in Willoughby, Ohio.
