Judge Frank Mora of Poughkeepsie, NY; unethical loser

FYI: Former Poughkeepsie Mayor John Tkazyik was duped into appointing Frankie as a Poughkeepsie City Court Judge in 2011. Frankie didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Poughkeepsie area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In one matter, Frankie filed a defamation lawsuit against Ms. Stacey Koch in December 2022 due to the content of an ethics complaint she had filed with the New York Commission on Judicial Conduct. Ms. Stacey’s complaint was based on Frankie’s violation of court rules requiring that he wear a face mask due to the COVID crisis.

In his asinine lawsuit, Frankie had the chutzpah to claim he suffered damages in excess of $425,000.00. It is painfully clear that Frankie missed his calling as a standup comedian.

Subsequent to Frankie’s filing of his defamation suit, the Judicial Commission intervened in the suit due to its unique and substantial interest in protecting the integrity of its inquiries from attempts to inhibit witnesses from coming forward or cooperating.

In April 2023, Commission filed motions to dismiss the lawsuit, which Judge Rosa granted dismissal with prejudice (meaning Frankie forever barred from filing the action in the future). Judge Rosa subsequently ordered a hearing to determine the amount of fees and costs to be assessed against Frankie for filing an obviously sham lawsuit.

As we speak (ca. August 2023), Frankie continues to dispense his so-called brand of jurisprudence as a Poughkeepsie City Court Judge in Poughkeepsie, New York.
