Attorney Richard Cole of Williamsville, NY; slacker, loser

The Law State of New York provided Richard W. Cole with a law license in after he graduated from the University of School of Law.

The Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel found Dick guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
• Failed to reasonably consult with a client about the means by which the client’s objectives are to be accomplished
• Failed to comply in a prompt manner with a client’s reasonable requests for information
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• For nearly four months, Dick failed to respond numerous requests for an update regarding her case, and respondent failed to respond to certain of those requests
• Dick’s lack of diligence in pursuing the client’s objectives resulted in negative financial implications for the client, including a loss of certain income tax deductions or real property tax rebates

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appellate Division Disciplinary Panel punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. August 2023), Dick practices his so-called brand of law at in Williamsville, New York.
