Pro Tem Judge Adam Vander Heyden of Las Vegas, NV; ethical elf

The state of Nevada presented Adam M. Vander Heyden with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from the Thomas Cooley School of Law.

The Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline found Adam guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
  • Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary
  • Abused the prestige of his judicial office to advance his personal or economic interests
  • Failed to ensure order and decorum in court proceedings he presided over
  • Made improper statements that might reasonably be expected to affect the outcome or impair the fairness of a matter pending before him

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Kathy by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, Adam was required to refrain from ever seeking to act as a Pro Tem judge in the State of Nevada.

As we speak (ca. July 2023), Adam practices his so-called brand of law at 6623 Las Vegas Blvd in Las Vegas, Nevada.
