Attorney David Blake of Tampa, FL; dimwitted slacker

The state of Florida presented David Garrett Blake with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from the University of Florida School of Law.

The Florida State Bar found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Davey’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Failed to seek the lawful objectives of his clients
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to reasonably communicate with his client
• Pursued and/or defended an action that was frivolous
• Failed to make reasonable efforts to expedite litigation in the interest of his clients
• Engaged in conduct that was contrary to justice, ethics, honesty, or good morals

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary 179-day suspension of his law license.

Davey’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to reasonably communicate with his client
• Was not truthful to the client regarding the progression of the client’s case
• Not truthful in dealings with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Davey!)
• Divulged confidential information that was not reasonably necessary to respond to the client’s ethics complaint

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license effective January 2022.

As we speak (ca. July 2023), Davey will resume his so-called practice of law with at 502 South Fremont Avenue in Tampa, Florida in early 2023 if not earlier.
