Attorney David Osterman of Manchester, NH; check bouncing afficianado

The state of New Hampshire presented David S. Osterman with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the University of New Hampshire School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Wrote check on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to promptly notify a client or third person of his receipt of funds owing to said persons
  • Failed to properly reconcile client trust accounts
  • Knowingly made false statement of act or law to a tribunal
  • Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Conduct Committee punished Davey by gifting him with complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Davey fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.bankruptcylawnh.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients to assure that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. July 2023), Davey practices his so-called brand of law with New Hampshire Bankruptcy Law at 66 Hanover Street in Manchester, New Hampshire.
