Solicitor Joan Pierpoint of New South Wales; ethical goblin

The Law Society Joan Margaret Pierpoint presented with a law license in 1986 after she graduated from Dalhousie University School of Law.

The Queensland Civil and Administrative found Joan guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in unsatisfactory Professional Conduct
• Prepared multiple Wills and Codicils for a client which conferred substantial benefits on her without referring the client to obtain independent legal advice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Queensland Bar punished Joan by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand and imposed a fine of $2,500.00.

As we speak (ca. July 2023), Joan practices her brand of law with Joan Pierpoint & Associates Solicitors & Conveyancers at 2 Horton Street in Port Macquarie, New South Wales.
