Attorney Christine Owen of Las Vegas; ethical elf

The state of Nevada presented Christine M. Owen with a law license in 2004 after she graduated from the University of Nevada School of Law.

The Nevada Disciplinary Board found Chrissy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to properly keep safe approximately $40,000 of her clients’ funds
  • Knew or should have known that she wass dealing improperly with client property
  • Conduct caused injury or potential injury to her client
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Chrissy’s clients were injured when their funds were not timely provided to them or their lienholders
  • Knowingly violating a duty owed to her clients

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Carrie by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of her law license and assessed investigative costs of $2,500.00.

Carrie was also ordered to pay $132,355.27 plus interest in restitution to her clients (victims).

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Chrissy

As we speak (ca. July 2023), Chrissy practices her so-called brand of law with the Law Office of Christine M. Owen in Las Vegas, Nevada.
