Attorney Andrew Carnall of Bluffton, IN; ethical troll

The state of Indiana provided Andrew John Carnall with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Indiana University School of Law.

The Illinois Disciplinary Commission found Andy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was Wells County elected prosecutor.

  • A Wells County deputy sheriff called Andy after pulling over Andy’s son on suspicions of operating a vehicle while intoxicated
  • At Andy’s request, the deputy sheriff agreed to allow Respondent to come to the scene and pick up his son, who was ultimately not arrested
  • Acted improperly in intervening on behalf of his drunken son
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Andy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed court and investigative costs of $546.92.

As we speak (ca. June 2023), Andy continues to practice his so-called brand of law as the Wells County Prosecutor at 102 Market Street in Bluffton, Indiana.
