Attorney William Sheridan of Londonderry, NH; slacker, loser

The state of New Hampshire presented William C. Sheridan with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the New England School of Law.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Billy’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received two complimentary censures and two complimentary suspensions of his law license.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Billy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Made numerous excuses for his delay in working on Quiet Title action on client’s behalf
• Continually changed legal theories to support the Quiet Title action
• Failed to inform his client of any decision or circumstance with respect to which the client’s informed consent is required
• Billy’s conduct caused actual injury to his client
• Failed to reasonably consult with the client about the means by which the client's objectives are to be accomplished
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to consult with his client about any relevant limitation on Billy’s conduct when he knew that the client expects assistance not permitted by the Rules of Professional Conduct or other law
• Failed explain the legal and practical aspects of a matter and alternative courses of action to the extent that such explanation is reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions about the representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Conduct Committee punished Billy by gifting him with complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

And lastly,as one would suspect, Billy fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.lawofficesofwilliuamsheridan.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients to assure that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. June 2023), Billy practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Offices of William Sheridan at 50 Nashua Road in Londonderry, New Hampshire.
