U.S. Judge Terry Hatter Jr. of Los Angles; ungrateful, greedy

The state of Illinois provided Terry Hatter, Jr. with a law license in 1960 after he graduated from the  University of Chicago Law School.

In 1979 President Carter was duped into appointing Terry Hatter, Jr.  to a seat on the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Terry received his appointment the old fashioned way, he proved to be a reliable flunky for the local political hacks. He sure didn’t get it because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Los Angeles area.

Terry is personally involved as a plaintiff in a lawsuit against the United States (that’d be us) wherein it is claimed that Congress violated the compensation clause of the constitution by barring cost-of-living adjustments. This laughable argument has already been turned down by the Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court several years ago.

Terry the Ingrate actually believes that he’s entitled to more than the undeserved $174,000 a year he is paid with taxpayer funds. Terry assumed senior status in 2005, which means he is only required to work 10-hours-a-week.

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Terry is 79-years-old, which means its past time for him to take a hike. His only reason for refusing to leave is his desire to be around when Congress grants the judiciary a raise of between 35 and 50%. Even though he’s on retired status, Terry would receive the increase which means he could permanently retire at about $250,000 a year.

Since he received his law license 52-years ago in 1960, Terry has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough. He only spent one (1) year in private practice during this 52-year period of time. If it wasn’t for public pork, Terry would likely be working as a greeter at the Costco store in Glendale.

What is truly galling is the fact that Wallace isn’t required to pay even one cent into the cost of his 100% lifetime pension. Why aren’t Congress and more importantly the Tea Party legislators raising hell about this abusive giveaway of taxpayer money?
