Attorney Joshua Mesmer of Manchester, NH; dimwitted slacker

The state of New Hampshire presented Joshua N. Messmer with a law license in 2009 after he graduated from the Massachusetts School of Law.
The Board of Bar Overseers found Josh guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Failed to provide competent representation (dimwit)

Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

Failed to act with candor in dealing with a tribunal

Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation

Josh acted with a selfish motive

Josh pressured his client to pay unreasonable fees while lying to his client in order to maintain the false impression that he was working hard on her behalf

Engaged in a pattern of misconduct

Made dozens of intentional misrepresentations to his client over a period of many months

Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

Failed to abide by a client’s decisions concerning the objective of the representation

Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Conduct Committee punished Josh by gifting him with complimentary 18-month suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. June 2023), Dick practices his so-called brand of law in Manchester, New Hampshire.
