Attorney Dana Reece of Little Rock; serial offender, Dufus

The state of Arkansas presented Dana Reece with a law license in 1986 after she graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Law School.

Panel B of the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct found Dana guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to provide competent legal services (Dufus)
  2. Failed to comply with court rules for filing of appellate briefs
  3. Engaged in the unlawful practice of law while her license was suspended
  4. Failed to act with reasonable diligence (slacker)
Dana was employed to represent Bruce Wade Pennington in seeking post-conviction relief. Pennington advised Dana that he wished to appeal the trial court’s denial of his motion for post-conviction relief to the Supreme Court. Dana then filed a timely notice of appeal.

Dana subsequently filed her first motion for additional time to file an appellate brief, which was granted. When she filed her second motion for additional time, the Clerk refused to file it because Dana’s law license was suspended.

After he license was reinstated, Dana filed a third motion for an extension of time, which the court granted; however, this time the court filed a complaint with the Profession Conduct Committee. A copy of the ethics complaint was provided to Dana, but contrary to Supreme Court Rules she never responded to it.

And this wasn’t Dana’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. She was previously sanctioned five (5) times in disciplinary matters involving her conduct in pursing appeals before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the Arkansas Supreme Court punished Dana by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand. However, the Court also entered an Order prohibiting Dana the Dufus from representing clients (victims) before the Arkansas Supreme Court and Court of Appeals for thirty-six months. This means the Appellate Courts in Arkansas won’t have to put up with Dana’s crap until February 2015.

Dana’s self-serving Hyperbolic (BS) website

On her self-serving website at www.danareecelaw.com Dana fails to make any mention of the misconduct aforementioned. I suppose she wants to conceal this information so that it doesn’t limit her future victim pool.

In addition to being a lousy lawyer, Dana is also an ordained minister who claims she is the found of Holy Women Ministry International and the Dana Reece Prophetic Ministries. She has the gall to state:

“If you are facing a legal crisis, reach out to an experienced, trustworthy Christian attorney who is dedicated to winning your case through God’s direction and wisdom.”

It seems to me that Dana missed her calling as a standup comedian!

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Dana practices law at 650 South Shackleford Road in Little Rock, Arkansas.
