The state of Kansas presented Kenneth J. Eland with a law license in 1984

The Kansas Disciplinary Board found Kenny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
• Failed to communicate with his client
• Failed safeguard client funds
• Dishonest or selfish motive involving Kenny’s misconduct
• Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to so act
• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Refused to acknowledge wrong nature of his conduct
• Engaged in a pattern of neglect of client matters
• Knowingly failed to perform services for a client
• Misconduct caused injury or potential injury to a client
• Engaged in multiple acts of misconduct
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Kenny by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license.

 As we speak (ca. May 2023), Kenny practices his so-called brand of law with Eland & Pratt LLC in Hoxie, Kansas.
