The state of Kansas presented Jeff L. McVey with a law license in 1993

 

The Kansas Disciplinary Board found Jeff guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed safeguard client funds
  • Failed to provide client with an accounting
  • Exhibited indifference to making restitution to his client
  • Engaged in bad faith obstruction of ethics investigation (Screw you, said Jeff!)
  • Violated his duty to his clients and to the public
  • Misconduct caused injury or potential injury to a client
  • Failed to provide bank statements to his client
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Failed to preserve 'the identity of funds and property of a client
  • Failed to promptly notify client of funds he held on her behalf and by
  • Failed to promptly distribute funds owing to the client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

 

 As we speak (ca. May 2023), Jeff practices his so-called brand of law as the City Prosecutor of the City of Plainville at 1201 Washington Street in Plainville, Kansas.
