Solicitor Jane Chisholm of Scotland; ethical troll

The Law Society presented Jane Caroline Chisholm with a law license in 1990 after she graduated from the University of Glasgow School of Law.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Jane guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in professional misconduct
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in undue delay of over three years in winding up the estate of the late JW
• Engaged in undue delay of nearly three years in winding up the estate of the late EW
• Failed to keep client informed of progress of estate matter
• Failed to effectively communicate with her client

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Jane by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. April 2023), Jane practices her so-called brand of law with Patricia Black Solicitors Limited at 2 Park Street in Dingwall, Scotland.
