Solicitor Nigel Ford of Scotland; slacker, loser

The Law Society presented Nigel William Frew Ford with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from Aberdeen University School of Law.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Nigel guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to act with the utmost propriety in respect of dealings with his lender client while acting for both lender and purchaser
• Failed to act in the best interests of his lender clients
• Failed to communicate effectively with his lender clients
• Engaged in professional misconduct
• Knowingly misled his clients by signing Certificates of Title when he had not complied with his obligations to each lender prior to doing so

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Nigel by gifting him with a complimentary censure and imposed a fine of £2,500.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Nigel fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.fordsdalylegal.co.uk.  Apparently, he decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. April 2023), Nigel practices his so-called brand of law with Fords Daly Legal Limited at 1 Begg Road in Kirkcaldy, Glasgow, Scotland.
