Attorney John Dorris of New York City; ethical elf

The state of Curt Meltzer presented John Dorris with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the Brooklyn School of Law.

The Appellate Division Grievance Committee found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
• Improperly formed a corporation with non-lawyer
• Neglectful conduct resulted from Johnny’s failure to supervise non-lawyer
• Aided non-lawyer in unauthorized practice of law
• Neglected client legal matter

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary censure.  

As we speak (ca. March 2023), Johnny practices his so-called brand of law at 575 Main Street in New York, New York.
