Judge Mark Cohen of Phildelphia; ethical troll

The state of Pennsylvania provided Mark B. Cohen with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from South Texas University School of Law.

The Court of Judicial Discipline found Mark guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Made improper posts to his Facebook page
  • Made posts consisting of his sympathetic, supportive, or positive views of political figures, living and dead
  • Made a post supporting legislation instituted and embraced by the Democratic Party, and the political “left”
  • Posted criticism of political figures of the Republican Party and the political “right”
  • On his Facebook postings, Mark noted his status as a judge despite the fact that it was a personal Facebook page
  • Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
  • Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary
  • Failed to avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety
  • Abused the prestige of his judicial office

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Mark by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Court of Judicial Discipline.

As we speak (ca. March 2023), Mark continues to dispense his so-called brand of jurisprudence as First Judicial District Court of Common Pleas Judge in Philadelphia.
