Barrister Christopher Tennet of New Zealand; cheating loser

The Law Society of New Zealand presented Christopher James Tennet with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of Auckland Law School.

The New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Victim of misconduct was vulnerable
  • Chris’ invoice to his client  for the private assessment report falsely stated the cost of the resulting report at $3,450 instead of $1,2006 (cheater)
  • Chris’  destruction of the copy report (coupled with his failure to inform his client’s new lawyer or the court that the report was completed
  • Chr’s' shortcomings of his memorandum for a court hearing
  • Engaged in unsatisfactory conduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary censure and ordered to pay investigative costs of $2,100.0.

As we speak (ca.  March 2023), Chris practices his so-called brand of law at Wellington Mail Centre,

Lower Hutt, New Zealand.
