Judge Paul Cusick of Detroit, MI; ethical troll

The state of Michigan provided Paul Cusick John with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from Wayne State University School of Law.

FYI: Former Gov. Rick Snyder was duped into appointing Paulie as a Superior Court judge in 2016. Paulie didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Detroit area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Judicial Tenure Commission found Paulie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as an Assistant State Attorney.

• Engaged in conduct clearly prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Engaged in conduct that violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Provided false statements of material fact or law to a tribunal
• Failed to correct false statements of materials fact he previously provided to a tribunal
• Engaged in conduct that was contrary to justice, ethics, honesty, or good morals

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Paulie by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. March 2023), Paulie continues to dispense his so-called brand of jurisprudence as a 41^st Circuit Court Judge in Detroit, Michigan.
