Judge Shannon Erison of Woburn, MA; charged with assaulting wife

The State of Massachusetts provided Shannon Erison with a law license in 1995 after she graduated from Georgetown University School of Law.

FYI: Former Gov. Deval Patrick was duped into appointing Shannon as a Middlesex County Superior Court judge in November 2012. Shannon didn’t get the appointment because she was the most qualified attorney in the greater Middlesex County area.

  • Charged with assault and battery on a household or family member
  • Grabbed her wife by the hair and pulled her head back during an argument
  • Shannon pulled the victim's head backward while her wife held a minor
  • After being handcuffed by police, Shannon said,
  • “Don’t touch me.”
  • “Get your hands off of me.”
  • “I’m a superior judge, you can’t arrest me.”

All that remains now is to see how long it takes for Shannon to cop a plea in order to reduce the amount of time she may have to spend in prison.

As we speak (ca. February 2023), and as temporary punishment, Shannon was placed on paid administrative leave while the criminal matter is resolved. This means that Massachusetts taxpayers will be made to pay Shannon $4,021.00 a week while she is on a taxpayer funded vacation.

And lastly, who was the Comedian in Massachusetts that said, “Judicial crime doesn’t pay?”
