Attorney Rogelio Lopez-Velarde of Mexico; deadbeat loser

The state of New York presented Rogelio Lopez-Velarde with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from Columbia University School of Law.

The First Department Grievance Committee found Rogelio guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with mandatory biennial attorney registration
  • Failed to pay biennial attorney registration fee of $375 (a measly $187.50 a year)
  • Eddy failed to pay register and pay the mandatory fee even after he was notified and given an opportunity to cure his default

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Rogelio by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2023), Rogelia practices his so-called brand of law with Dentons Lopez Velarde SC at Centro De Ciudad Santa Fe, Alvaro Obregon in Mexico City, Mexico.
