The Bar of England and Wales by Gray’s Inn provided William Giles Hugh Powell with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from the University of Bristol School of Law.

The Bar Standards Board found Billy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to take reasonable steps to manage his practice
• Failed to carry out his role within his practice, competently (moron)
• Failed to achieve compliance with his legal and regulatory obligations in that he
• Failed to account for tax to HMRC
• Caused a bankruptcy petition to be presented against him respect of unpaid tax
• Caused a bankruptcy order to be made against him on 27 January 2020
• Acted in a way likely to diminish the trust and confidence the public places in him or in the profession
• Failed to be open and co-operative with the Bar Standards Board (Up yours, said (Billy!)
• Failed to report his conviction at Mid Wales Magistrates’ Court for an offence contrary f the Value Added Tax Act 1994

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Barrister Misfits sitting on the Bar Standards Board punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed disciplinary costs of £2,100.00.
