Justice of the Peace Shirley Young of England; ethical dwarf

The Law Society provided Shirley Young with a law license in 2004 after she graduated from the University of Essex School of Law.

Chief Justice Lord Burnet of Maldon and Lord Chancellor Dominic Raab found Shirley guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Conduct fell below the standards expected of a member of the Judiciary
  • Persistently refused a reasonable request for a meeting with her bench chair
  • Sent emails to her bench chair, parts of which were rude and disrespectful
  • Failed to show any contrition for her conduct until late in the ethics investigation process

The Lord Chancellor and Lord Chief Justice punished Shirley by gifting her with a complimentary formal advice. It’s my understanding that this punishment can surely be very, very painful. As we speak (ca. January 2023), Shirley continues to dispense her so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Justice of the Peace of the West Hampshire Magistrate’s Court at 100 The Avenue in Southampton, United Kingdom.
