Attorney Todd Van Siclen of Cranford, NJ; ethical goblin

The state of New Jersey presented Todd Davis Van Siclen with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Todd also received a license to practice in New York in 2001.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Todd guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Represented a client when there was a significant risk that the representation would materially limit Todd’s responsibilities to another client, a former client, or a third person or by a Todd’s personal interest

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Todd by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2023), Todd practices his so-called brand of law at 21 Commerce Drive in Cranford, New Jersey.
