Solicitor Morag Yellowlees of Scotland; ethical misfit

The Law Society presented Morag Wilson Yellowlees with a law license in 1990 after she graduated from the University of Glasgow School of Law.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Morag guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in professional misconduct
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Conflict posed a risk of prejudice to her client
  • Took insufficient steps to deal with conflict of interest

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Morag by gifting her with a complimentary censure and imposed a fine of £5,000.

As we speak (ca. December 2022), Morag practices her so-called brand of law with Lindays LLP at 19a Canning Street in Edinburgh, Scotland.
