Attorney Richard Peter D’Addario of Newport, RI; ethical misfit

The state of Massachusetts provided Richard Peter D’Addariowith a law license in 1971 after he graduated from New York University (NYU) School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

• Improperly extended a $10,000 loan to Rhode Island Family Court Judge John E. Fuyat
• Knowingly assisting a judge in conduct in violation of the rules of judicial conduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Rhode Island Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary censure. 1991

And lastly, as one would suspect, Dick fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.daddariolaw.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. December 2022), Dick practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Offices of D'Addario & Collins at 1 Courthouse Square in Newport, Rhode Island.
