Attorney William Zaffiro, Jr. of Lyndhurst, OH; lying loser
The state of Ohio presented William Thomas Zaffiro, Jr. with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from Cleveland State University Law School.
The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Grievance Committee found William guilty of the following misconduct.
Initially the disciplinary panel and Bill entered into an agreement as to his punishment. The agreement required Bill to personally satisfy (pay) a default judgment pending against his client due to his gross negligence/incompetence. The panel cancelled the agreement when they discovered that Bill paid the judgment by using funds from his client trust account. In other words, Bill paid the victim’s judgment by pilfering funds from his other clients. What a guy!
When the disciplinary panel asked Bill to produce a copy of his malpractice insurance, he agreed to do so even though he absolutely knew no such policy existed. In short, Billy just flat out lied about the matter.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished William by gifting him with a reprimand.
As we speak (ca. June 2012) William continues to practice law at 5495 Mayfield Road in Lyndhurst, Ohio which is a suburb of Cleveland.
