Attorney David Bartelsmeyer of Herrin, IL; cheating loser

The state of Illinois presented David Louis Bartelsmeyer with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission Office found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Committed the criminal offense of forgery
• Personally, or directed others to alter bank records involving Attorneys’ Title Guaranty Fund, Inc. (“ATG)
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Converted $11,123.25 of client funds to his personal use (cheater)
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct that spanned two and a half years
• Made unauthorized transfers of funds that did not belong to him
• Provided false documents to ethics investigators to cover up his misconduct (Up yours, said Davey!)
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Davey!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of her law license effective

And lastly,because Attorney Misfits in Illinois are held to a much lower standard of conduct than everyone else, Davey was never criminally prosecuted for forgery.

As we speak (ca. December 2022), Davey practices his so-called brand of law with Craig and Bartelsmeyer PC at 203 North Park Avenue in Herrin, Illinois.
