Attorney Michael Guzman of Portland, OR; drunk driver extraordinaire

The State of Oregon presented Michael Guzman with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Seattle University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in criminal conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Driving while license suspended
  • Collided with rear of car in front of him
  • Pled guilty to misdemeanor hit and run
  • Convicted of driving under the influence, second time
  • In prior case, Mikey struck a parked car with such force that the other car collided with a third car
  • Witnesses saw Mikey exit his car, inspect the front of it and then try to drive away
  • In this second incident, Mikey pled guilty to misdemeanor hit and run and misdemeanor driving while license suspended

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2023), Mikey practices his so-called brand of law at 1000 SW Broadway in Portland, Oregon.
