Attorney Thomas Bryant of Bend, OR; repeat offender

The State of Oregon presented Thomas V. Bryant with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from Williamette University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Tommy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
  • When lawsuit filed against Tommy, a client and two corporate clients by a shareholder of the corporation alleging tortious conduct, Tommy went about representing himself, the client, and the two corporate clients at the same time
  • After the court disqualified Tommy as counsel of record for one of the corporate defendants in the litigation because of a conflict of interest, he continued to represent the individual client and the remaining corporate client without first having obtained the consent to do so from any of the clients after full disclosure

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Tommy’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2022), Tommy practices his brand of law at 60761 Breckenridge in Bend, Oregon.
