Attorney Warren Woo of Alberta, CAN; ethical gremlin

The Law Society of Alberta presentedWarren W.C. Woo with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from the University of Alberta School of Law.

The Hearing Committee for the Law Society of Alberta found Warren guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly supervise his employee
• Failed to conduct and maintain monthly bank reconciliations of his trust account
• Failed to fulfill his undertakings
• Failed to report deficiencies in his client ledger account to the Law Society
• Failed to maintain his firm’s prescribed financial records
• Failed to maintain money on deposit in his trust account in aggregate amount sufficient to meet all trust obligations
• Failed to conduct monthly bank reconciliations of his general account

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hearing Committee punished Warren by gifting him with a complimentary 1-month suspension of his law license and ordered that he pay $15,000.00 in investigative costs.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Warren and her firm fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.summitlegalgroup.ca. Apparently, they decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting their future victim pool.
