Attorney George Allen of Hanksville, UT; slacker, loser

The State of Utah presented George M. Allen with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme found George guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Failed to act with candor toward a tribunal (Screw you, said George!)
• Failed to act fairly towards opposing party and counsel
• Court disqualified George from representing his client because he was likely to be a necessary witness
• Court dismissed client’s case and sanctioned George after finding that the claims he had asserted were frivolous and vexatious
• Improperly provided the client financial assistance while her cases were ongoing
• Represented another client in multiple legal proceedings despite having a close personal relationship with her, which created a conflict of interest
• George also failed to correct a statement of material fact included in a court filing after that statement was no longer true
• Failed to provide his clients with a written fee agreement when he started the representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished George by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license effective January 2022.  

As we speak (ca. October 2022), George will resume his so-called brand of law with George M. Allen PC at 75 East 100 South in Hanksville, Utah in September 2023.
