Attorney Kenneth Shabel of Spartanburg, SC; rubber check afficianado

The State of South Carolina presented Kenneth Philip Shabel with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from Mercer University School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel of the South Carolina Supreme Court found Tony guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Failed to keep an accounting of when and how the $10,000.00 fee was earned
• Wrote check on insufficient funds account (rubber)
• Failed to provide his client with a written fee agreement
• Failed to provide his client with an account upon request
• Engaged in conduct involving a pattern of indifference to legal obligation
• Failed to ensure payroll taxes were being remitted to the IRS

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme punished Tony by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

FYI: The courts that Kenny practices in have proven to be manned by a group of comedians given the fact that he has been deemed to be a Certified Family Court Mediator and Guardian ad Litem.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Kenny fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.kennedybrannon.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective client for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.
